It actually comes to a point where Stewart begins to Interview Wallace
Stewart: Am I an activist in your mind, an ideological partisan activist?
Wallace: Yeah.
Stewart: I disagree with you. You can't understand, because of the world you live in, that there is not a designed ideological agenda on my part to affect partisan change on my part because that's the soup you swim in. It reminds me of, uh, in ideological regimes, they can't understand that there is free media in other places because they receive marching orders.
Wallace: How do you explain me? You think I get marching orders?
Stewart: I think you are here to bring credibility to an organization that otherwise might not have it without your presence. You are a here as a counter weight to Hannity or as a counter weight to Glenn Beck.
I would argue that even with Wallace, Fox News Still doesn't have credibility because even Wallace, just let Bret Baier - Does Get Marching Orders.
Just like Pravda.
And Jon Stewart knows this because he's documented it with Bill Sammon admitting how he spun the news for political gain with Brett Baier.
So the guy whose the
Head of Hard News was himself deliberately pushing -
Marching Orders - onto the News operatives like Baier and yes - Chris Wallace - to question whether Barack Obama was a Socialist.
Also, let's point out that it was George W Bush who began the process of the things like the auto-bailout and TARP before Obama was even President. A lot of us actually joked at the time - We're all Socialist Now.
Fox Is Not News: it's a Partisan Disinformation Campaign.
And where Stewart Nails Stewart on how Fox Viewers are the most consistently the Most Miss Informed.
Wallace: I think there is bias, and that you only tell part of the story.
Stewart: Oh, I don't think there's any question that I don't tell the whole story. I don't not tell the full story based purely on an ideological partisan agenda.
Yeah, whereas Fox Doesn't tell the whole story - or simply Makes SHIT UP - for exactly that reason. For an Ideological Partisan Agenda, period.
There isn't a SECOND of programming on that Network that isn't dedicated to implementing Roger Ailes Partisan Goal as King of the GOP.
I'll give Wallace points in that unlike the rest of Fox - he actually does ask tough question of people on the right. Although he never asked Condoleeza Rice why the Bush Administration didn't do anything about the Bombing of the U.S.S. Cole he did ask Herman Cain about the "Right of Return" issue, and he did confront Tim Pawlenty on his Ridiculous Tax Cuts Ideas. He's also the person who challenged Sarah Palin directly on her Paul Revere knowledge.
Wallace is like Fox News' Beard. Y'know when a gay person decides to pretend to have a boyfriend or girlfriend of the opposite sex just so everyone will not realize they're really gay? That's Fox News.
GAY as all HELL for the GOP, but not willing to come out of the closet.
And I don't have a problem with that. I'm not implying any negative connotation with being Gay - I'm implying a negative connatation to Lying to people about what you ARE! Also, what I think is irksome is how they constantly go around trying to legitimize their GAY GOPness by accusing everyone else, even Comedy Central, of being GAY and Closeted about it for the Dems.
So now CNN has to give the GOP a periodic reach around to show they're still interested rather than just - what's the phrase again? Oh yeah, REPORT THE FRAKING NEWS!
It's gotten literally to the point where the best "STRAIGHT NEWS" you can get anywhere - is from a Comedy Network.
And that's kinda pathetic.
