Newt Gingrich, still pretending he's a viable candidate for the 2012 Republican nomination, has
weighed in on New York's same-sex marriage law that
passed last week.
Short version: even if you disagree with the outcome, at least it went through the legislative process, and:
I believe that marriage is between a man and a woman. I think that’s what marriage ought to be and I would like to find ways to defend that view as legitimately and effectively as possible.
Interesting way to phrase it. Most of the rightwingnuttia says, "between one man and one woman." Apparently Newt was trying to avoid the obvious punch line of "between a man and three women."
