Oh Lordy; William "the Bloody" Kristol is throwing a right little temper tantrum in his weekly rag, and quoting Cicero to boot...William is always so up to date:
Now where was I? Oh yes, William all wrapped up in a toga [if you can imagine a sort of pasty white statue of liberty you're close] and pontificating about
Republican Virtue
Can you hear the pearls being scrunched? I can...O tempora, o mores!....Sniff
House Republicans, on the other hand, did pass a budget earlier this year.
They did indeed William, and it was so toxic they were praying nobody was watching; but they were.... hence the nosedive to 22% approval for congressional Republicans.
After extolling what any sane person regarded as a pile of steaming elephant turd he then pulls out his little soap box and really goes for gold.
Enough! No more gangs! No more deals! Gangster government is unworthy of a democratic republic. We elect leaders, not dealers.
What he really means is it is only gansta gov when it is not his gangs gov.
And so: All honor to the House Republicans. They refuse to conceal their views and aims.
We know sweet William, we know, giving what wealth remains to the Ayn Rand elite, class war at its finest.
Still: All honor to the House Republicans, who had the coolness, foresight, and capacity to introduce and pass legislation that is a rebuke and a stumbling block to the gangs of senators and the secret dealmakers.
Knowing full well it had no chance of passing whatsoever, oh courage indeed!
I'll remind you of another Cicero quote:
"Cuiusvis hominis est errare, nullius nisi insipientis, in errore perseverare"
Any man can make a mistake, only a fool keeps making the same one.
And for you dear William some advice from a Republican
"It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to open one's mouth and remove all doubt."
~Abraham Lincoln
