There are no greater abuses of our justice system, than that by those who fraudulently use such for illegal personal gain. Most times, the stories do not bode well. Corrupt prosecutions seldom see the injustice become unraveled. Yet - at least this past week - we have the story of the Cisco/ Homeland Security Corruption (where Cisco made up charges to have US Homeland Security falsely seize a man in Canada).
We also have the great joy of the Probation of Raquel Nelson - who was hit by an intoxicated driver (Jerry Guy) that also struck and killed her son. Guy got 6 months - while Raquel could have gotten 3 years. Many here at DK helped sign her petition, which received more than 130,000 signatures (see Alfred-Adekeye's Cisco and Raquel Nelson's story (here). Thanks to a national campaign on many fronts, Raquel received probation and the Judge has offered her a chance for a new trial to seek vindication. Also, thanks to a Canadian Judge strong enough to tell U.S. Homeland Security to back off, Peter Alfred-Adekeye got an "undisclosed" settlement. Unfortunately, there's also the story of the immigrant work Medina; who died while in a George (for profit) incarceration center - that refused to get him medical treatment for his heart ailment.
Now we have the recently released story of Ted White. Most of you probably read the title and thought - sex offender "falsely accused" - REALLY!!!!! How many of you readers looked here - originally thinking this was a story of the system being wrong and giving a heinous offender a bunch of money? But you will have your conscience shocked at the Whole story. My 4 children are grown, but I now have grand-children, so I am often worried about the evils of this subject in the world - the same as you. However -
Ted White Really Didn't Do It.
Mr. White, told everyone that he didn't do it. But his cries of innocence fell on deaf ears. Neither friends, family or life time acquaints' felt any compassion for Ted White - looking upon him as a pariah.
Unfortunately, when you are accused by your own wife
of sexually abusing
your own children
- NO Trial is Necessary - You are Guilty as alleged.
Ted White did not help his case any. While shouting his cries of innocence, he fled prosecution to Costa Rica. Where he was arrested, imprisoned and often beaten. Hard to make anyone believe you didn't do it - when you run!
Upon returning to the United States of Justice, Ted White spent five years in prison, while facing a total of 50 years. Mr. White had been beaten (as child sex offenders are even considered the lowest of the low in prison). Ted White was also un-able to see his children for a total decade. Because the Police and Prosecution made sure Ted White was convicted. For, as stated in the opening remark, there is no greater injustice - than those given tax paid salaries to serve us - who abuse that high level of public trust for their own personal gain. The prosecution loves the advancing of their political careers for putting a sex offender in jail.
Money & Love - motive and opportunity for a Corrupt Policeman.
Lee's Summit Missouri Police Officer Richard McKinley was given high acclaim for the arrest and conviction of Ted White. As did the prosecution team. But the best award that officer McKinley bestowed upon himself was Ted White's wife - Tina.
That's right folks, it seems there is a new way to and thru the pathway of adultery and scorn. Pork the wife of one of the citizens you are paid to protect and then get your competition for that sweat love - prosecuted, jailed, and have their children taken away and their life destroyed and seize the prosecuted husband's stock of $600,000.00.
Unclean hands, unequitable justice and public corruption at its worse.
Ted White could not figure out the motivation behind the unsavory allegations of his wife Tina. It was not until years later, that a heavy investigation led to the realization that Officer McKinley was having an affair with Tina. During divorce proceedings, where it appeared that maybe Tina would not get all of Ted White's successful business monies, she made, with the help of Officer McKinley - accusations that Ted White sexually abused her daughter (a step-daughter of Ted White). But no one revealed the fact that Officer McKinley was sexually involved with Tina.
As a matter of fact, inquiries were made of the allegations that Tina and Officer Richard McKinley were involved with one another - and that was denied. This, despite the fact that the Police Chief at that time (Ken Conlee) was told about the affair 3 months into the criminal prosecution.
Intentional Prosecutor Misconduct
Compounding the matter even further, the prosecution is alleged to have intentionally withheld the fact of the conflict of interest relationship - Intentionally. The Circuit Court pointed out facts of the prosecutor having hand signals with the officer McKinley - on what facts to release - and which ones to keep secret. As is revealed by the Crime and Federalism website (
here) - it states;
Prior to [the] detective's January 1999 deposition, the prosecutor told Richard that he would need to answer questions about the affair truthfully. The prosecutor said he would cough to signal to Richard when he needed to disclose the affair in response to a question. Richard was asked if he had any personal interest in the case, during a deposition, and he stated he did not. The prosecutor did not signal him to say otherwise. Consequently, White never learned ofRichard and Tina's affair before his first criminal trial.
Conclusion White wins $15.5 million and lost his life with his children
Yes, Ted White finally has found "some" justice. He sued and, after a lengthy court battle, has been granted $15.5 million dollars.
But the money is not coming from Tina, or officer Richard McKinley, who is still being paid $60,000 a year as a Lee's Summit, MO officer. As reported by Crime and Federalism, the corrupt prosecutor Jill Kanatzar is now a partner at Dollar, Burns and Becker. The local tax payers funds are going to pay the $15.5 million.

Mr White won the battle for money and lost the War for his life and children as he stated for RT News (here);
it is hard to get past the fact that the detective “stole” his children. Officer McKinley has married Tina White since the case first started up.
“I haven’t seen them for years. They are worth more to me than $15 million,” White says about his children.
“I used to pray for that man to take care of my children, and he was the one who put me in jail.”
Ted White shows many news stories at his website "Free Ted White" (Here).
Some of you may have seen the recent articles on how Iowa wants to put a protocol into effect, where bad faith attorneys need not disclose their bad faith acts (here). Secrecy only serves evil doers. The internet has made it possible for us to see the bad faith acts - that used to be hidden behind closed doors. We should not stand idle and let Iowa - or anyone else - stop us from getting cameras into and around our systems of justice.
They are "our" public employees and public systems!
What is appalling, beyond mind-boggling and conscience shocking, is the fact that it almost always takes a decade or so to correct injustice. We, the American public, are shamefully apathetic to acts of injustice - unless much suffering has transpired. Even then, we do not gather together and protest. We mostly look upon stories like this and say they are rare and far between.
If only such were true.
As anyone can plainly see by the Thomas Drake, Julian Assange, Ted White, Peter Alfred-Adekeye or Raquel Nelson stories, is that the system is BIG and powerful against you. Unless you are willing to scream and shout - when everyone wishes you to go quietly into the night - Justice will never come.
But we should be thankful for those who put up such a fight - they encourage others like me to continue against the nefarious horde. Because if we do not stand up and fight injustice - it will become systemic and incestuous upon us all.
I leave you with the question proposed by Crime and Federalism website;
Interestingly, the panel's 2008 opinion did not identify the unethical prosecutors by name. Instead, the panel referred to "the prosecutor." A person looking for information about Jennifer Mettler and Jill Kanatzar would thus not discover that they are unethical prosecutors who helped conspire to frame an innocent man for child molestation.
The panel's 2010 opinion, however, identified the unethical prosecutors by name. Thank you, your honors, for taking a step towards holding prosecutors accountable.
In a just world, the unethical prosecutor would be disbarred and prosecuted. In the unjust world we live in, prosecutors who violate the law should at least be identified by name in the Federal Reporter.
