The entire Massachusetts Congressional delegation created an "It Get's Better" Video.
Oops, I lied. As you can see by watching, Scott Brown, one of Massachusetts' two Senators, didn't participate. Was he perhaps stuck in a traffic jam on the way to the shoot?
A Democratic Hill staffer with knowledge of the project told The Huffington Post that Brown was invited to participate, but he declined.
"Scott Brown has a strong record at the state and federal level against bullying and believes that all people regardless of sexual orientation should be treated with dignity and respect," said Brown spokesman Colin Reed when asked whether the senator had been asked to appear in the video. "His main focus right now is on creating jobs and getting our economy back on track."
I guess not. Apparently he was trying to right a derailed locomotive. Because as sure as the Sun is not revolving around Scott Brown, the economy isn't getting back on any track that I know of, and if there are jobs being created they must be in China, the result of Chinese macroeconomic stimulus, not ours. No, Senator, you're right. It's not getting better for most of the US population. Not as long as your party continues to advocate for policies that will shift us right back onto the recessionary track.
So here's hoping that Elizabeth Warren will make it get a lot worse for you in November, 2012.
And shame on you.
