From president obama’s campaign until now he has been a total disappointment. In 2008 there were a number of close senate races that might have changed the way democrats controlled legislation. instead of spending money on get out the vote in those states, he chose to waste money in states such as Arizona. And of course the democrats lost almost all the close races and Franken had to wait months to be seated.
President obama should have had his agenda ready to go on his first day on the job. Instead he just watched on the sidelines while the chamber, tea party, republicans, insurance companies etc. destroyed his agenda. Democrats in congress many times called for him to be engaged. What has passed has been for the most part, watered down crap.
Just think had Franken been sworn in with the other senators and obama had a health care bill ready to pass as soon a possible, I believe things would have been different.
President obama’s calling for raising of the Medicare age to 67 in my opinion disqualifies him from being president. For a democratic president do this is the most degusting thing ever called for by a democrat. Most people who work outside doing manual labor in 95 degree heat, simply won’t be able to work at 65 or 66.
I believe that president obama should in the next few weeks hold a press conference and announce to the nation that he is not going to run for reelection. If he did this now, a democrat might have a chance to put together a campaign that will bring all the democrats together and enough independents to win and maybe get control of the house and keep control of the senate.
I believe the way we are going, if obama is on the ballot, the republicans will control the entire government in January of 2013. Which means they will be able to pass anything they want and also be able to appoint more rightwing judges
