MCCONNELL: It set the template for the future. In the future, Neil, no president — in the near future, maybe in the distant future — is going to be able to get the debt ceiling increased without a re-ignition of the same discussion of how do we cut spending and get America headed in the right direction. I expect the next president, whoever that is, is going to be asking us to raise the debt ceiling again in 2013, so we’ll be doing it all over.
Yah really, if the next president is a Republican you will raise the debt ceiling so fast your ears will pop all the while howling: "but but we cant default, we are the greatest nation eveh, and we cannot default never ever ever....sniff"
Then John Boehner will then join you around the Kleenex box.
I cant wait to see you next year screaming blue murder over the "Bush tax" cuts will create millions of new jobs [since when] and how raising revenue would actually increase the deficit.
Ye gawds the smell of hypocrisy is damn near overpowering.
Next years hostage?
The middle classes tax cuts.
But they will negotiate in good faith...
Yah really...I'm a tellin you....
