1. I still think the adminsitration's handling of the debt ceiling issue was a near disaster
2. I agree with my friends in the House who feel very betrayed by this administration
3. I think some here are far too optimistic of the ability of the administration to change the dynamics they have helped to establish
4. I am delighted to see others offering diaries about the just past Save Our Schools March - you are seeing videos, you are reading commentary. Sorry I have not been able to offer more of the riches, but I will try to get a few more videos up in next few days. It was a superb event. You need to hear from people beyond Matt Damon.
5. I AM tired - I have acknowledge so in some recent diaries. I am frustrated and angry, but do not misread that as my giving up. Because I care what happens to my students that fuels my energy.
6. In less than two weeks I will again be with students. That is both frightening and inspiring - it is a huge responsibility, but it also motivates me to try to make a difference - for their sake.
7. I am ready to return to the streets, to occupying offices, to civil disobedience, because the issues before us are so critical.
8. Read what I write or not. Praise or criticize. Recommend or hide rate. That's your choice. I do what I do because I believe I have an obligation to use whatever voice I have to make a difference. Perhaps only a few will listen, but then those few can inform others, we can find one another, we can begin to reclaim our society and our nation.
Peace? Oh, I long for it, but I know it is not yet within our grasp. It is not yet entirely beyond our reach. Not YET. Which is why we can, we must, act.
