It's really amazing how well the astroturf worked isn't it? Corporate 'merica was able to mobilize the flat Earth redneck crowd and herd them quite easily.
But it wasn't just Joe and Jan Fox News Watcher twho fell for the "movement"
Nope not just, because the corporate conservative media - Disney (ABC), News Corp (Of course) Time Warner (CNN) Viacom (CBS), and yes the people at 30 Rock too, among others. Many others.
Including people here.
Huh? I know that I'm far from the first to acknowledge this.
Because it's not a movement. It's a branding effort. And any time that "tea party" is used instead of Republican, it advances their cause.
Hey, it's just middle America who are frustrated... got involved and happen to align themselves "mostly" with Republicans... but oh, they are pure and just want to keep 'em honest and therefore must stand up against things like the tooth fairy and the debt ceiling myth - or whatever them book readin' folk call whatever it is that means us spending more money.
Whether they believe this or not, is not the point, the point is that Koch brothers know exactly what they are doing. Sure it got out of control, but any time that the media - or us even - refers to the "Tea Party" members in Congress who voted against Boehner's bill or the final bill etc, distorts the reality. Republicans voted against the bills. Republicans obstructed and continue to obstruct. Period.
I don't care if it's the debt ceiling or the FAA. It's all the same - it's the continued scorched Earth practices of the Republican party.
