This week is one I'm happy to see the hind end of!! Oye'! *&^%$#@!
Let's end this craptacular week with a little SPARK. :D I wonder if this library patron is this late with everything else in his/her/its life? I can't decide if this baseball fan is just a lucky SOB or a ball hog. A part of me is damn impressed with this woman & hopes I'm able to do this kind of stuff when I'm 75!
This place sounds KEWL!!
Finally, speaking of apartments, look who might be getting their a$$ evicted - OOPS!
Let's Countdown!
#5 "Help Wanted" AKA "What Recovery?" - The jobs numbers ended up being better than expected but still not good enough. Unemployment went down .1%, and 117,000 new jobs were created. President Obama insists he's gonna get Congress back on the jobs memo once they get back from vacation. The S&P still might downgrade our rating because tax increases weren't part of the Satan sandwich with a side of steaming pile of poo. Disapproval of Congress & Speaker Sobbing Small Price to Pay Goldilocks are at an all - time high after the debt ceiling shtick; the approval numbers for President Obama were split fairly evenly. The House GOBP plan for job growth include such items as fewer regulations & the same 'ol broken record. Brian Beutler gets econ duty tonight; part of the GOBP plan includes cutting corporate tax rates to 25%. Hell, why not since it's worked so great so far, and there is no unemployment! Oh...wait...huh? Unemployment is still at over 9%? {insert best Gilda Radner here} Nevermind! ;D
S&P might have screwed up their maths, so there might not be a downgrade. Somehow, I'm not comforted by the apparent fact that these "people" are just as good at math as I am! Jeff Madrick is in studio for more economy talk. The GOBP either has no clue about how to run an economy, or they are out to deliberately tank the economy to make President Obama a 1 - termer. Mr. Madrick said both can be correct! He wanted President Obama to use his power under the 14th Amendment & claims he wouldn't have bought the Louisiana Purchase. YIKES! Mr. Madrick thinks a 21st - century WPA is necessary and perhaps an inkling of a primary challenge for President Obama; I'll agree to the first part - NOT the 2nd part.
#4 "Poll Position" AKA "GOP Calendar Creep" - Some states are attempting to jostle their primary dates to get ahead of the early states, so the early states might be even earlier...like toward the end of THIS YEAR! Governor Secessionist wasn't exactly a barn - burner of a college student; Huffington Post got ahold of his transcripts! HA! If he tried to transfer into the university where I work & teach, he'd be transferring in next to nothing because his grades were too $hitacular!! OK, if the Huffington Post managed to get his transcripts, why can't anyone get $aint $arah from Wasilla's??!! I'd still pay hard - earned coin to get a gander at those!
Craig Crawford gets GOBP clown car duty tonight - lucky! The current shifting GOBP primary schedule tends to favor Mittens Romney. Iowa is quickly making themselves irrelevant because some voters are turning so bat$hit.
BREAKING NEWS - S&P Downgraded Our Credit Rating!
"Time Marches On!" - Look at the little puppy defending his vittles from the mean 'ol ducks! AAAaaaaWWWwwww! Man on Dog got the lights put out on him - literally. ;D Robots are making cookies at MIT; I can see a big stoner buyer potential here! :D :D
#3 "Indefensible" AKA "Tortured Truth" - An American was tortured in an American - run prison in Iraq & is also suing Rummy. He was exposed to "advanced interrogation techniques" for over 90 days. Don Vance is that American, and he's talking to Keith exclusively. His story is rather complicated but went very wrong very quickly. The government tried to offer him a settlement, but he declined. Mr. Vance thinks other Americans were at Camp Cropper, too. He wasn't waterboarded, but he got nearly everything else. *&^%$#@! He can guarandamntee false & misleading information from torture because he was probably nearly in that same place.
WPITW - Rep. Eric Cantor is creaming his jeans at the prospect of ending unemployment insurance & benefits. Newt the Nazi Lover wants manufacturing in this country back, but his shirts are not made here - OOPS! ;D The Mannity wants me to pay for his Viagra, but he doesn't want to pay for my birth control. OK Keith, if I have nightmares because of this story, I BLAME YOU!
"Fridays with Thurber" - Tonight, we get "The Gentleman in 916." Do I remember this story? Huh, nope...don't think so.
