If you're on teh Twitter & are not following me @FOOLeader, why the spark not?!
OK, this cartoon is seriously the best one I've seen in a long damn time; expect it to be repeated in another diary a bit later! ;D
Let's add a little SPARK to our evening! No wonder political discourse in this country is down the $hitter! Here's some of teh crazy from my fair state! It involves a watermelon, a pet store, explosive devices, and being nekkid. ;D After this visitor from the animal kingdom, Monopoly should put said visitor pooing in some woods as one of its properties. Finally, I'm sure Governor Brewer will blame this event on headless torsos in the desert!
Let's Countdown!
David Shuster is pinch - hitting for Keith again tonight; thanks awfully very much! I hope Keith's just taking some time off & is OK.
#5 "Rick Rollin'" AKA "GOP Iowa Debate" AKA "Obama VS. GOP" - Well, boys & girls, Governor Secession is officially announcing this weekend that he's going to run for the office to be the executive leader of the country from which he wanted to secede
And, I say again here tonight that he will be the GOBP nominee; write my prediction on a nearby calendar in red ink! ;D There's a GOBP debate tonight; you could not pay me enough to listen to that clap trap!
Mittens Romney got quite the reception in IA today when he told a crowd that corporations are people! ;D He made his own visit to S&P while he was Governator of MA to plug his state; he successfully raised taxes to boost his state's credit rating! Bat$hit Bachmann was for stim coin, subsidies, etc. before she was against them. $aint $arah from Wasilla is going to be in IA this weekend, too! Ugh, if I was a sane person living in IA, I'd be bugging out! Hendrik Hertzberg gets bat$hit duty tonight. Lord, another TX Governator running for POTUS turns my stomach! I forgot about that whole executing a probable innocent man in TX! Governor Secession is already doing fairly well in polls, and he's not even officially in the mother sparking race. According to CNN, Mittens would give President Obama a fairly close race, and America's Mayor would beat him?! What kind of sparked up response is that??!!
Christina Bellatoni gets to chat up that CNN poll - good luck! She said he polls well because of high name recognition. O...K... She also thinks the POTUS race will be close no matter who the GOBP nominee. Again, $aint $arah from Wasilla is NOT running; she enjoys too much monkeying around with "the lame stream media" & getting all the attention she gets doing so; Ms. Bellatoni agrees.
#4 "On the Job" AKA "Job Search" - President Obama insists jobs are his #1 priority. Well, actions speak louder than words. And, the Satan sandwich with a side of steaming pile of poo ain't gonna do a damn thing for job growth. Rep. Jan Schakowsky has introduced her own jobs bill which entails the following: (1) Creates 2.2 million jobs through an emergency jobs program. (2) Creates a school improvement corps, health corps, student job corps, among others. Her plan would cost a cool $227 billion, but it'll be paid for by taxing the super rich at higher rates, eliminating oil subsidies, and eliminating loopholes for companies that take jobs overseas. Yea, that'll go real far in this Congress! Here's Rep. Dennis Kucinich who I just really do not care for anymore since he voted "no" on the less odious version of HCR before the marked up version that he voted "yes" on. He called President Obama's economic policy weak; I guess the Washington Post did, too. Rep. Kucinich, this President is NOT FDR; it's not in him to be FDR! He thinks too much attention's been paid to tea baggers; more attention needs to be paid to Wall Street. OK, I had to bail on Rep. Kucinich - sorry! It was just rehashing of old news.
"Time Marches On!" - I missed Jerry Falwell's birthday?! Oh man!! I'm on my IPad & can't embed videos, so someone else will have to dig up Bill Maher's righteous obit of the "good Rev." for me. :D David's got a car in his house? Golly! A Knoxville reporter had a little hissy fit. A couple dudes with a couch in Canada put an outboard motor on the mother! How cool is that?! ;D
#3 "Super 12" AKA "Not So Super?" - Rep. Nancy Pelosi picked the last 3 members of the "super Congress" today; they are Reps. James Clyburn, Chris VanHollen, and Xavier Becerra. A proposal from the committee is supposed to come by Thanksgiving - if they don't hopelessly deadlock. Rep. Dave Camp is in for a world of hurt from his tea bagger constituents if he's sort of ready to consider "revenue" as part of the deal! Rep. Pelosi insists she wants to strengthen Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security. Ari Berman gets to chat up the "super Congress." She also wants the "super Congress" activities to be televised or something; DO NOT hold your breath on THAT memo! Ari thinks Rep. Pelosi's selections at least diversify the "super Congress" a bit - true that! I partially agree with what David said about the reasoning behind Rep. Pelosi's selections, but if she wanted to really draw a line in the sand about trashing "entitlements," she could've picked folk like Raul Grijalva, Jan Schakowsky, etc!
#2 - Congressional committees are ready to investigate S&P after their downgrade - specifically banking committees. Guess who doesn't want investigations? FAUX News! They back only Congressional investigations they call for. ;D
#1 "Unpopular" AKA "Epic Failure" - Congress is "enjoying" historically low approval ratings. Gee, I can't imagine why! Congress is on summer vacation, now. A whole mess of things & people are more popular than Congress - including GWB! Sam Seder gets poopy pants duty. :D This Congress was supposed to create jobs; they haven't created jobs - or anything else! Sam thinks some of the criticism of President Obama is justified, but this Congress is all Speaker Sobber Small Price to Pay Goldilocks, and Sam introduced 1 of the most disturbing images I can remember in a long time to demonstrate that fact! EEEEeeeeeeeWWWWWWWwwwwwww!!! ;D
