You won't see much of this on the Main Stream Media, but something rather odd seems to be happening during this years August Recess.
Two years ago, we were constantly bombarded with the Anger of the Tea Party as they railed at their various Congressional Representatives during those Hot August Days and Nights. It was incessant. Non-Stop. It gained everyones (in the Media's) attention.
This year, not so much.
This year, something else has been not so quietly going on as Representatives go out to speak with their Constituents.
They've been asked: Where is the Jobs Plan?
And more... like this.
This is what happened recently with Rep. Patrick McHenry at a Town Hall Event.
Tempers flared more than once during the question-and-answer session as some town hall attendees questioned McHenry’s responses. Some people placed their heads in their hands while others crossed their arms before them. They demanded different answers and more action from the congressman. Others walked out. [...]
“What do you propose to do that you haven’t done in the last couple years to bring back jobs, make the economy better?” Hillman asked the fourth-term U.S. congressman.
We all remember Mr. McHenry, right? He's the guy who called Elizabeth Warren a Liar in the middle of a Congressional Hearing.
Mrs Warren had originally suggested the creation of, and has been administering the setup of the Financial Consumer Protection Board, and agency that would prevent the type of Banking and Credit Fraud that led to the Great Recession of 2008-2009. Preventing that from happening again would protect a lot of jobs - but Rep. McHenry isn't all that interested in that. He'd rather sponsor legislation to put Ronald Reagan on the $50 Bill.
But he's not the only one...
Here Rep Paul Ryan was screamed at an called a "Liar" for continuing to support expensive Tax Cuts for the Wealth.
Protestors at Paul Ryan's Kenosha Office Demanding an Answer on Jobs, get a form Letter Response.
Ryan: I pride myself on always being available to discuss concerns that individuals are having with the Federal Government. During the month of August I will continue to have an active dialogue by having multiple telephone town halls...
For which participants will have to pay $15 each.
Yeah, isn't that sweet?
The Media Hasn't been Covering it, but there's a shift in the Political Winds- and it's not blowing in the direction of Republicans or their proposals. So to make it impossible to ignore the Coffee Party has been planning an Enough Is Enough Rally on Washington
Perhaps we should get the word out, yes?
