Just heard on live (Arabic) Al-Jazeera TV: Seif Al-Islam, Gaddafi's notorious son, has been arrested by the Libyan rebel forces. There are also reports that the brigades guarding Gaddafi himself have surrendered to the rebels. No pics so far out of Tripoli, but a Libyan woman was interviewed live, saying that Libyans were streaming into the streets of Tripoli in celebration.
Just now Sky News has a live report confirming the same thing. Almost no resistance, no Gaddafi loyalists to be mentioned. Libya has been freed! Victory to the revolutionaries who bravely fought for freedom! A huge thanks to NATO and all those who support democracy!
Of course there is much to be done but check out news.sky.com (I'm on a cell, a bit link challenged. ) And the fall of Gaddafi is stealing all possible attention from Bashar's interview. Meanwhile, Moussa Ibraheem is still giving a bizarre disinformative press conference.
Just now from Reuters: Gaddafi now in talks with Moustafa Abdul-Jaleel, head of the NTC. As Gaddafi broadcasts a last ditch call for support from tribes and supporters.
