I never feel so alone as when one of my kitties is sick. I can't bear to see them in pain. My little baby girl Babycakes has some ulcer on her tongue that's causing her a great deal of discomfort. We are on Clavamox right now but it hasn't kicked in yet. My poor girl is hiding because of the trauma of the vet visit and it's breaking my heart that she doesn't trust me. I have to give her this medicine and I'm not sure how I'm going to do it since she won't come out. I was wondering if any of you have any experience with kitties with ulcers on their tongue. The vet did blood work and it came back clean so I have no idea what's caused this just that my baby hurts. Every time one of the kitties get sick I wonder how on earth I'll survive without them. I honestly don't think I can. Sorry for spilling on everyone but I needed to get that out.
8:57 PM PT: Got a 2nd dose of meds in. Thank God for tuna and that she's still hungry!
This is Babycakes
Wed Aug 24, 2011 at 8:39 AM PT: Well, we got dose 3 in and she's eaten some tuna. She's still hiding but between the vet visit and the meds she's pretty traumatized so I'm trying to leave her in peace. She seems OK otherwise so we'll see. She's still having some trouble with her tongue but I'll give it a bit longer before I overreact. I have to go to work tonight but I only work a few blocks away so I'll come home at supper tonight to check on her.

She's under the couch. Some idiot I work with had to tell me about the tumor his cat had in his mouth and how his cat died. I freaking hate him right now!
