Lights, camera, action!
A raid complete with a tank and armored cars on a suspected cock fighting ring that alledgedly resulted in the killing of a man’s puppy is another new lawsuit starring Sherrif Joe, this time with costar Steven Seagal.
Supposidly an eleven month old puppy was killed when Sheriff Joe Arpaio and actor Steven Seagal stormed Jesus Llovera’s home with cameras rolling. (I say supposedly because MCSO is denying that a puppy was shot.)
The unlucky dog was marked for death while cameras taped a raid on Jesus Sanchez Llovera's home in March by sheriff's deputies and camouflage-clad Seagal, who rode in a tank for an episode of "Steven Seagal: Lawman", TMZ reported.
Anyone who saw the bust could have thought that Llovera was under siege. Deputies in armored cars blew out his windows and knocked down the gate outside his property, according to The Wrap. More than 100 hens and roosters were on deadly ground that day and were euthanized, The Wrap said.

Anything for publicity. That’s our infamous Sheriff Joe. But the $100,000 Llovera is asking for is peanuts compared to the mountain of lawsuits from elected and former elected officials in Maricopa County.
Arapaio and MCSO have been the target for lots of lawsuits that have cost Maricopa County around$41 million(could be as high as $50 million). But, Sheriff Joe has his reality shows, chain gangs, his pink underwear and tents. I don't see any other Sheriffs in this country following his lead.
The infighting and corruption in Sheriff Joe country has created a crush of new lawsuits. I'm so glad I don't live in his county. Maricopa needs to wake up before they go broke.
In all, $176 million worth of claims or lawsuits have now been filed as a result of the hostilities. Of that, $160 million is being sought by elected officials, judges and a few county employees caught up the hostilities.
Former Maricopa County Attorney Andrew Thomas and ex-Deputy County Attorney Lisa Aubuchon want a combined $46 million for their ruined careers – destroyed, they say, by county officials, judges, lawyers and others who foiled their every attempt to root out county corruption.
Maricopa County Supervisors Don Stapley and Mary Rose Wilcox together want $14.75 million for damage to their reputations. I'm guessing they mean the damage that occurred before they began demanding money from the very people they represent.
Now-retired judges Barbara Mundell, Anna Baca, Gary Donahoe and Ken Fields want a collective $17.25 million.

Then we have Arpaios top henchmen suing after an independent report done by friendly Sheriff Paul Babeu was released and two resigned and another was put on administrative leave. Babeu insisted Sheriff Joe “knew nothing” about what was going on in his department when he released his report.
Two former top officials and a captain on administrative leave with the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office who are at the center of abuse-of-power allegations have jointly filed a $22 million notice of claim asserting that county and state officials, Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu and private investigators schemed to destroy their careers.
Their claim was filed Aug. 15 with the county and the state by former Chief Deputy David Hendershott, former Deputy Chief Larry Black, and Capt. Joel Fox, who is currently an employee.
Hendershott and Black each demand $7 million for pain, suffering and loss of future earnings. Fox demands $8 million. Hendershott and Fox have already filed other notices of claim and lawsuits against the county and state.
Hendershott and Black were fired by Sheriff Joe Arpaio in the wake of a 2010 memo by another top commander, Frank Munnell, who alleged years of widespread mismanagement and misconduct under Hendershott's leadership. A subsequent probe by Babeu's office upheld some of the allegations, resulting in their firings.
Fox remains on paid administrative leave pending an ongoing inquiry into his conduct. Fox has earned $77,667 while on paid administrative leave.

Hendershott is already getting about $200,000 a year in pension money, and he had already filed another suit for $14 million.
Many parts of the 1,022-page summary were blacked out. A judge ruled parts of the report by Babeu can stay hidden until Joel Fox’s disciplinary process is complete, after being sued by the Arizona Republic and Channel 12 News (KPNX) for complete disclosure of the report.
And people are complaining about the pay of teachers.
All of these cases are headed to court. Wilcox and Stapley are up for re-election next year. Good luck with that. I think it would be hard to ask the voters of the county you are suing for millions to vote for you.
Another day, another lawsuit in Maricopa County. You guys really need to start paying attention to who you vote for.
