6:15 PM PT: Romney's immigration plan is to build a fence. Gingrich's is to make English the official language, but to his credit he says it would inhumane to deport people who are already here. Of course, it's also inhumane to make them live in the shadows. Rick Santorum says he's the grandson of immigrants, but now we need border security and he won't directly say what he'd do with people here now.
6:15 PM PT: Bachmann is asked, assuming she gets $2 gas, and builds her fence, what would she do about the people here without legal status. Her answer is that we really, really, really need that fence. Notable: the crowd laughed at her gas price claim. She won't say what she'd do with people currently here. She says she wants 1950s immigration policy.
6:18 PM PT: I keep on hearing that Mitt Romney is speaking with a drawl. I'm not sure if that's the case, but I'm making a mental note to listen the next time he speaks.
6:19 PM PT: Ron Paul is horrified by all the talk of building a fence -- he says the fence could be used to keep us in. So I guess he's the first guy to go the secession route.
6:22 PM PT: Here's a more clear way of phrasing what I was trying to say in my previous update: Ron Paul says he's against building a fence with Mexico because it could be used to keep Americans from fleeing the country.
