I did an unscientific test to see if Rick Santorum's problem was limited to Google..
Rick Santorum is whining that Google would clear his good name (or at least wipe up the mess) if it were Joe Biden who had this problem . For those living in caves, Dan Savage took umbrage at Rick santorum's bigoted rhetoric, and held a contest to define a neologism, Santoum. This was wildly successful & the results can be found on many popular search engines. I say many, because the former senatorb has complained about google bitterly. Yesterday, I read on the web that this was not a classic 'google bomb', ie something that played with the google algorthm ala 'miserable failure' searches leading to GW Bush's web site. Google search results equate Santorum with a 'frothy mixture', because that's from a highly-trafficked website. I wondered, if that were so, would other search engines find the same result? The notorious spreading santorum site was the #1 result on Bing, Yahoo & Lycos . (I think that it's ironic that above Yahoo's first result is a link to a story about Santorum's google problem)
So Rick, or Mr. Man-on-dog if you prefer, you don't have a google problem. You have a problem.
