Recall is over, I am ready to refocus. Recall failed, (Repeal appears to soon be a success though, soon, Snyder can no longer boot out our elected officials and put in his cronies with a blank slate and free reign!!!! ) SO disappointed we couldn't oust him............yet?
Now, we that choose to stay as a group will move on to damage control and repeal repeal repeal I guess? These people had so much faith in us to help remove this dictator, I feel as though I have let them down, but, I will try my best to do damage control now and help that way. There IS a possibility that we may try the recall again, there are several options that we will discuss after everyone gets a good rest from this. We are all exhausted, some didn't handle the news well and...well..I won't go there. Sometimes people just need to get over themselves. That is the nicest thing that I can say, or HAVE said, about it.( ME?? MOUTHY MUCH????? NEVER! )
We had NO POLITICAL BACKING, no money except a few donations, total beginners/grassroots effort, no experience, all volunteers, no one was paid for their position, we all paid out of our own pockets for everything. We had everything against us, but we still have one hell of a formidable group, and got possibly over half of the needed sigs, and have made ONE HELL of a statement!!! We now have experience, lots of lessons learned, and will help out other recalls and forge a new path. This is not an end, nor was it a failure. FAR from being a failure! This is a new beginning.
I will be taking my training with "We Are The People" Muskegon on Saturday. Anyone interested please let me know and I will give you contact info for it. This is tied to a state- wide group, which will work as a hub to help activist groups all over the state network in order to be more effective. They have many ideas to work towards also themselves.

We may not have collected enough signatures, but I believe we easily COULD have, given better conditions. I do not consider the effort itself to be a failure, no, not at all. Learning experience, for sure. Failure, NO WAY.
