The Ninepipe National Wildlife Refuge is located on the Flathead Indian Reservation in western Montana. The Refuge was established in 1921 by Presidential Executive Order. The lands within the present Refuge were originally withdrawn in 1910 as a part of an irrigation reservoir. At the present time, the Refuge is operated by the Fish and Wildlife Service under agreement with the Bureau of Indian Affairs. Shown below are some photos taken at the Refuge.
