The DSK saga goes on and on:
First
Strauss-Kahn resigned from the International Monetary Fund in May after a New York hotel chambermaid accused him of sexual assault and attempted rape and he was arrested.
Then
First, a young writer accused him of attempting to rape her in 2003 but, while prosecutors said there was prima facie evidence of sexual assault, the case was too old to pursue.
Now.
Magistrates have already charged several leading local figures with organising the ring and there are suspicions that a construction company executive used his firm's money to entertain guests at sex parties.
One could say he is giving Berlusconi a run for his money.
He always seems to manage to avoid actually giving testimony under oath and is allowed to continually cry "media lynching", of course he wants to explain, but in private and not before a public audience.
Poor Dominique so misunderstood.
So what is this all about?
The Hotel Carlton affair centres on allegations of pimping at top hotels in the northern French city, where women from France and massage parlours in Belgium were allegedly supplied for hotel customers and local officials. Eight people are under formal investigation, including a senior police officer, a local barrister and businessmen. Five have been imprisoned as the inquiry continues.
You see France has to my mind the correct law, prostitution, or recompense for sex, are perfectly legal, pimping however is not. The reason it is legal is that preventing monetary transaction for sex is regarded as a question of personal liberty, whereas selling the services of someone else is not.
So one has to wonder just how long DSK can continue to hide behind his very well recompensed legal team, funny how this just seems to follow him around. One could cry conspiracy, but on the other hand proximity seems to be the common link.
