For the third year in a row, the Military Religious Freedom Foundation has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.
While the Nobel committee does not officially release the names of nominees for 50 years, the letter nominating the MRFF was authorized for release by the Foundation, though redacted so as not to reveal the identity of the nominating source. MRFF was nominated by one of the founding members of a Nobel Peace Prize-winning humanitarian organization.
The letter can be read here. It describes how Mikey Weinstein launched the organization after his sons were discriminated against at the Air Force Academy.
Tells you something about how different the culture is in Europe than it is here in the States. One can only imagine how many fundies' heads would explode if the MRFF won.
