It seems that many people around here are done with the Democratic Party. I see many diaries and comments expressing disgust with Dems and Democrats, saying that the Democratic Party has sold out to the 1%. Comments stating the claim that the Democrats don't care about the 99%. Democrats are cowardly, they always cave.... and other insults not worth repeating.
I am a Dem. I am a Democrat. I am the Democratic Party. When you insult the Democratic Party, you are insulting me. There are many other Democrats around here, so you are insulting them as well when you insult the Democratic Party.
This is a Democratic blog, a partisan blog.
My question for all the people who excoriate the Democratic Party and Dems and Democrats on a daily basis:
Why are you here?
I see many comments excoriating the Democratic Party for trying to copy or take over or co-opt or astroturf the OWS movement.
OWS people, we love you. We love your demonstrations. We support you in all senses. As a matter of fact, this website is acting as a major clearinghouse for OWS information.... uhhh, this is the part where you would think "thank you, kos".... despite the fact that:
This is a Democratic blog, a partisan blog.
To those OWS supporters (not all, just some) who insist on denigrating the Democratic Party: Are you just here to get information on OWS?
If so, then why do you thank kos (the owner of a Democratic blog with enormous bandwidth that is capable of providing a huge amount of people with information about your movement) by insulting the Democratic Party and predicting the downfall of what he is trying to improve?

Of course, I realize there are many communities here that relate to the improvement of society in general. I very much approve of this. My questions are directed at the people who have expressed their disgust for all things Democratic and have hurled insults and heaped abuse upon Democrats in general. Let's not play word games, we all know who the people are and what kind of comments I am talking about.
So, all you Democratic Party-haters, are you working to make more and better Democrats? That is the stated purpose of the place. If not, then why are you here?
Are you someone who wants to participate in discussions with the overall aim of making more and better Democrats? Are you someone who is willing to participate in serious discussions about the shortfalls of the Democratic Party and how improvements can be made without resorting to insults?
If not, why are you here?
I'm not saying you have to leave, that's certainly not up to me.
I'm just wondering why are you here?
