Not that any War, is worth of the pain, grief, and sorrow they ultimately cause. But long as you're going to have a War, to spur your respective economies -- it ought to be a Trade War ... and it ought to be over the productive Technologies of the Future.
Finally someone is taking a stand for America's Solar companies ...
The Commerce Department said it was considering punitive tariffs of 50 to 250 percent on Chinese solar panels, based on preliminary evidence that China was “dumping” solar panels in the United States below the cost of making and marketing them. The department is also investigating whether the Chinese government is breaking international trade rules by subsidizing the export of solar panels -- if such a finding was made, it could result in additional tariffs.
China Bends to U.S. Complaint on Solar Panels but Plans Retaliation
by Keith Bradsher, NYTimes -- Nov 21, 2011
Hmmm? China seriously wants to dominate the Solar Markets here in the US?
That should make the die-hard, drill-to-the-last-drop Conservative, sit up and take notice.
"There must be Gold in them thar Solar Panels?"
So what makes this a Trade War per se?
Well, China just responded in kind. It seems that keeping a tight grip on the World's Solar Market is something that matters to them.
They're no fools. The see the ultimate potential, of tapping the Sun.
BEIJING (AP) — China's government announced a trade probe Friday of whether U.S. support for renewable energy companies improperly hurts foreign suppliers, adding to tensions over an industry seen as an important source of jobs and economic growth.

China launches probe of US renewable energy policy
by Joe McDonald, AP Business Writer -- Nov 25, 2011
Hmmm? We go after their Solar manufacturers -- They go after our "wind, solar, hydro and other renewable energy policies" ???
That hardly sounds fair. This sounds like war. A Trade War for the Future of Free Energy ...
Too bad we didn't have a draft for that contest, eh?
But for America to ultimately win, Americans have to sit up and take notice. Americans actually have to get in the Game.
China has ... and in a BIG Way too:
(Reuters) - New solar power capacity in China, the world's top energy user, may quadruple from last year to more than 2.0 gigawatts (GW) this year, an official of the research arm of the National Development and Research Commission (NDRC) said on Friday.

The government has raised its installed solar capacity target for 2020 to 50 GW, up from the previous goal of 20 GW, state media have quoted Li as saying.

Beijing, Reuters -- Nov 11, 2011
Hmmm? One more question, I guess ...
What the Hell is a Gigawatt?
by jamess -- Nov 11, 2011
And one more query please ... How many of "those Renewable GW's" is America targeting?
Enquiringly minds, should want to know ... Future-oriented, Earth-friendly minds, that is.
Hint: So far, NOT Enough ... not by an Apollo long shot.
