Earlier this week, Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich and the rest of the GOP field accused President Obama of leading a foreign policy of "appeasement." Although most Americans ignored the attacks, they were the first thing President Obama was asked about at his press conference earlier today. His response was priceless:
QUESTION: Republican candidates have taken aim at your approach to foreign policy, particularly in the Middle East and Israel, and accused you of "appeasement," and I wanted to get your reaction to that.
PRESIDENT OBAMA: Ask Osama bin Laden and the 22 out of 30 top al Qaeda leaders who have been taken off the field whether I engage in appeasement—or whoever’s left out there, ask them about that.
I can't wait for the debates next fall. They're going to be so much fun.
10:55 AM PT: Hahaha:
BREAKING: bin Laden to debate Qaddafi on whether President Obama practices "appeasement."
