Whenever I need to get fired up, this is the speech I listen to.
Just look at yesterday. If we we're talking about letting the Bush Tax Cuts for the rich expire every Republican in Congress would be howling CLASS WAR!!! But since it is only a tax cut that over 100million working class Americans will save on their payroll tax the Republican party doesn't care, they'd rather walk away and leave working class people to face a tax increase. That's right, the Republicans who say Tax Cuts are ALWAYS the answer no matter what the question is doesn't care about extending the payroll tax because it doesn't go straight to the wealthiest one percent of America.
So here are some questions for Republicans now that they have shown that they only care about expiring tax cuts for the rich and not expiring tax cuts for the working class. . .
Do you have such disdain for hard working Americans?
What is the price?
When does the GREED stop?
What is it about working men and women that Republicans find so offensive?
More below the fold . . .
They call us childish names because we have all of the facts on our side, and they have nothing but lobbyist issued talking points. Republicans who defend only the wealthiest 1% call anti-corporate greed protestors "smelly" and "dirty". Republicans sound like children. They act like children. The Republican party has been throwing the loudest, most expensive hissy-fit in American history for the last 3 years since Bush left office. It's time to shut them out until they calm down and come back to earth.
So, once in a while, when I attempt to fathom what lurks in the hearts of lizard people like Eric Cantor or his Orangeness, House Speaker Chester Cheetah, or any one of the interchangeable shrieking banshees on Fox New, whenever I have to listen to these stale and close-minded misanthropes and I need a little pick me up to get me going, I watch this video.
Notice the same tactics. Obstruction. Delay. Pointless amendment after amendment. Filibuster abuse. Dear working class people, the Republican party just isn't that in to you. Maybe it is best if you move on.
Because when it comes to fighting for your expiring tax cuts, dear working class people, the GOP doesn't give a rat's ass about you.
But if it was an expiring tax cut for the rich, that's a different story, the GOP will be there to fight through the thick and thin for the wealthiest 1% every time. You can't spell greedy one percent without G-O-P.
So we know who the GOP fights for, the rich, and only the rich and their large corporations. Now the questions must be posed to everyone else, "Who are you fighting for? We The People? Or Corporate Special Interests?"
I know who I am fighting for.
How about you?
Cheers for standing up and not backing down.
