As the holidays fade from view, one last celebration:
Some of you may have seen nyceve's piece chronicling the first adventure of The Sign. Well, it's back, and this time it paid visits to some of New York City's most celebrated cultural institutions, as well as the Emperor's house. I was lucky enough to be part of the Merrie Band this time, and it might have been the most fun I've ever had while doing politics. (for those who care, I'm #3, behind the CC).
The crowds seemed to gather instantly. As we lowered The Sign, flashes popped in our faces, and we got cheers and applause! We even had to do a couple of "command performances" for people who just saw us walking up the street with The Sign folded up.
Like the first time, there was exactly one heckler: this one yelled "Get a job!", rather halfheartedly. Ironically, he was at the "Imagine" memorial. I don't think he got it.
