Tue Jan 03, 2012 at 9:21 PM PT (Steve Singiser): Good news/bad news for Mitt Romney. He now leads by 67 votes overall (29,607 to 29,540). But a lot of his best turf just came in. Therefore, the linear projection now has the Romney "win" at 51 votes. Talk about going down to the wire!
Tue Jan 03, 2012 at 9:24 PM PT (Steve Singiser): Whoa. Now up to 98.5% reporting, and Rick Santorum has reclaimed the lead in the Iowa caucuses. The margin stands at ... wait for it ... 11 votes. Also, the linear projection is back in Santorum's favor, by 23 votes. Story County and Dubuque are also mostly in, at this point. Unreal.
