Barron County resident and politician John Hardin brings Scott Walker a package of signed petitions to keep Badgercare as it is, in the face of some pretty severe cuts.
That's my friend, John with the beribboned bundle. He himself has been over a barrel obtaining care for his wife when she had a devastating illness, and he's still worried how others will be coping with a health care coverage situation that is getting steadily worse.

I like his style. What else can we give Walker this season?
January 4, 2012:
Update on my friend, John Hardin, with three elements to it:
Public service action
1. He is seeking
a new goal of 20,000 signatures to save BadgerCare for up to 53,000 adults and children. He'll deliver the second stack of petitions in February. Please sign at the link below to
show your support for maintaining expenditure for our state's least powerful:
The WI Republicans want to help balance the budget by kicking 53,000 adults and children off BadgerCare. Premiums are scheduled to increase as much as 1100%. This is totally unacceptable. This will prevent people from getting cheaper health care earlier, and drive up costs with later expensive emergency room visits and preventable hospitalizations. Tell Gov. Walker and the Fitzgerald brothers this is unacceptable.

2. John Hardin is running again for his County Board Supervisor position for the town of Sioux Creek. Go John! Believe me,
he is someone you want on your side in local battles. One area of concern is the promiscuous frac sand mining going on in our little region of sandstone formations (Northwest Wisconsin). Big corporations are leveling beautiful, green Wisonsin hills for a pittance to local landowners (and a great deal of externalities, paid in terms of health and quality of life), in order to extract fifth-rate petroleum from other areas of our country. John Hardin does not take the short-sighted view about this matter. He thinks in terms of generations.
Office #2
3. John Hardin is thinking about throwing his hat in the ring for Wisconsin's 75th Assembly. It's a seat formerly occupied by moderate Democrat Mary Hubler. It was taken, narrowly, by local real estate slimeball
Roger Rivard. (Despite local grumblings about how he was not a straight dealer, Rivard managed to win in the TeaFuckTard Tide of 2010) I can tell you, personally, from having known John Hardin since 1979, he
will be looking out for the least among us, and for the greater good, unlike Rivard, who will be looking to line his pockets. I can't tell you strongly enough that John Hardin is a good joe and honest broker.
He is running with the Democratic party this year. I have been an officer in that party but have turned apostate. Nevertheless, I can throw my considerable weight behind John Hardin this year. He's the kind of Democrat that you, Kossacks of Wisconsin, want to see elected.
Please sign his petition, and keep the name "John Hardin" in mind for 75th Assembly, and for Sioux Creek supervisor in the spring elections.
More forthcoming about John Hardin and what he has to offer.
