Those of us who are in the Kos Katalogue are so grateful to have a community following us, and willing to support us. Today, I am asking for your support. We need to drum up some sales for the upcoming bills. Rich was finally finding work ... until he broke his wrist. Now he has a ?pretty? black fiberglass cast that has so far cost us almost $500. More bills to come.
So, follow me below the doodlysqigglything, and I will share what we've got going on.
For the last twelve years or so, Rich has been working on and expanding his knowledge of vacuum cleaners. His particular favorites are the ones that are better quality, the ones your mom and your grandma had. The ones that can be fixed. Kirby and Electrolux are foremost among those. He's learned from Kirby and Electrolux authorized repair centers exactly HOW to do these repairs, and learned over time what that funny noise means and whether it can be fixed.
Rainbow, Kenmore, and some others can be repaired quite nicely; lately new manufacturing techniques have made many models of Kenmore harder to fix, but it's still mostly possible. He also favors refurbishing power nozzles for many brands.
So how does this tie in with our business? It's obviously difficult to solicit repair business over the internet, though we do get requests to rebuild older Electrolux and Kirby motors. What we do is this: we find a machine, take the good parts out, test them, get them ready for sale, and list them on eBay. The home repair experts find the parts they need for about half the price of new (if the parts are even still available), and everybody's happy.
Today, everything motor is 25% off.
On the craftier side, I am selling a few odds and ends of crafty stuff in my ArtFire store, including this lovely red coral bead necklace:
And if you're looking for a good used Vitamix ...
Retro-style leather cuff watchbands, with and without conchos, stamps, and eyelets - Here's one with star conchos:
We also do some custom work on leather watchbands (initials, stars, military insignia) - ask if there's something you would like.
