Seriously! I am a 63 year old woman now living in Spain and I can tell you that one of the more liberating feelings is laying on the beach with no top on. I am tired of the American Taliban trying to keep us barefoot and pregnant (sure that was a little over the top but with a hint of truthiness to it). Our mammary glands may be in general larger than most men's but the only real difference is that they are better able to feed babies after birth and that we have a higher incident of breast cancer. Why should we be forced by law to cover our breast when men are not? Why should a TV station be forced to pay millions of dollars when a woman's breast is exposed whether it is accidentally or not. Why does the SC5 rule that it is OK to show children a woman being torn apart from her genitals all the way up her entire body but not ok for a woman's breast to be shown? Woman are not even able to comfortably breast feed their infants (the most natural human function you can imagine), unless it is at home. There is something terribly wrong here
What I want to see is women on the beaches as free and comfortable as men. I want all kinds of breast shown not just perky little breast of 20 year olds but old saggy ones like mine, fat ones, thin ones, flat ones, tiny ones. I want women and men walking proudly down main street in parades and from the waist up only be wearing (grin) pink ribbons around their neck. I want women to take back the symbol from Komen that belongs to them and not a corporation that seems to think women have limited rights over their own body. I want those breast making the political statement they should be making.
