"Tim ... I'm pregnant"
For the record, I'd just like to say that I do not understand why the political class seems to think that only women would be harmed by lack of access to birth control. I believe I can speak for most men, especially young bachelors, in saying that most men could not be more pleased with more access to birth control for all women. We do NOT want to see it end.
Trust me on this.
Now I know that birth control is staunchly opposed by a bunch of old Catholic and Evangelical guys who don't have sex. Well, at least not with adult females. In this case we are talking about a very small group of men who are, in fact, crazy.
But the normal heterosexual male is probably exceedingly grateful that women would go the extra mile and take the extra step of being full owners of their reproductive systems. Guys are probably thanking their lucky stars that their wives, girlfriends, mistresses, dominatrices and ladies of the evening have access to the full range of contraceptive and reproductive medical services. Speaking for myself ... and I am unanimous in this ... I do not want ANY control over any of that stuff you ladies have going on with YOUR bodies. I've got enough of my own problems.
Finally, guys, I think we straight males need to start speaking out on behalf of women's contraceptive rights. I mean, if you fellas can't see the manifold benefits of ... well I don't think I need to describe them here. I do not feel that only women should to make their voices heard as Congress seeks to end their reproductive rights. I think most of you fellas understand the serious implications this will have on you too. So make your voice heard.
Because real men support birth control. BIG TIME.
