We need volunteers to write the D'var Torah starting last Shabbat (which we missed). If you haven't written one before, why not give it a try? None of us who have authored a D'var Torah diary (as far as I know) are rabbis or Talmudic scholars. I am posting the openings through the end of April. On a number of Shabbats there is a second Torah reading (and 3 Torah readings on March 24!) - feel free to chose the special Torah reading instead of the weekly reading if you wish - or the Haftarah, as most of the second half of Exodus and the first half of Leviticus can be pretty dull.
Also, we could use a volunteer to write something for Purim. As Passover spans two Shabbats, I figure two volunteers for Passover, one for each weekend. And we should also have a diary for Yom HaShoah, Holocaust Remembrance Day which this year is April 18-19. But we most desperately need a volunteer for this coming Shabbat February 25th.
