Pennsylvania's HB 1077 would require women seeking an abortion to have an ultrasound and in some ways this bill is worse than Virginia's.

First, please let me apologize as I'm not a great writer. This issue simply pisses me off enough that I had to try. In full disclosure, I'm male. I also care about the women in my life and don't want to see any of them have to bring a child into this world that they don't want.
This bill requires that women seeking abortion have an ultrasound at least a day in advance of the procedure.
The ultrasound screen must be pointed toward the woman.
In a particularly caring and loving move toward the woman in question, she is not required to look. How fortunate, as I had thought perhaps they'd strap her head in place and pull her eyelids open like the scene from A Clockwork Orange.
She will be required to take two copies of the ultrasound and she must deliver them to the doctor who performs her abortion.
Those are the cold facts. Now my reaction, which is somewhat less clinical.
WTF?
Have we honestly gotten to the point where legislators think a woman has no understanding of what a pregnancy is? Do they think that an ultrasound will magically force a woman to fall in love with an embryo she doesn't want?
Or are they simply trying to run out the clock until an abortion is no longer necessary because it's now illegal?
What you can do:
I lifted this straight from Planned Parenthood: Call Marcia M. Hahn (717) 783-8573 and tell them to oppose House Bill 1077 and stop the attacks on women’s health once and for all!
Does it help if you're outside PA? I have no idea, but I'd rather see their lines completely slogged with upset people than not ringing...
