Polls are now closed in Illinois, where voters are casting ballots both in the Republican presidential primary and in downballot races throughout the state. We'll be liveblogging the results as they come in, with a heavy emphasis on the congressional contests.

7:08 PM PT (David Jarman): Time for a top-of-the-hour recap on the House races:
IL-02: Jesse Jackson Jr. over Debbie Halvorson (D), 71-29 w/ 77% in
IL-08: Tammy Duckworth over Raja Krishnamoorthi (D), 64-36 w/ 37% in
IL-10: Brad Schneider over Ilya Sheyman (D), 47-39 w/ 96% in
IL-11: Bill Foster at 55% vs. various unknowns (D) w/ 44% in
IL-12: Jason Plummer over Rodger Cook (R), 62-30 w/ 48% in
IL-13: Tim Johnson at 62% vs. various unknowns (R) w/ 36% in
IL-13: Mark Goetten over David Gill (D), 55-45 w/ 37% in
IL-16: Adam Kinzinger over Don Manzullo (R), 58-42 w/ 50% in
7:13 PM PT (David Jarman): Apparently Ilya Sheyman is conceding to Brad Schneider in the IL-10 Democratic primary. (Says Politico's David Catanese: "His loss is a crushing blow to the organized professional left, which poured substantial resources into the primary, making it a national priority for the movement.")
7:14 PM PT (David Jarman): And the AP has called IL-02's Dem primary for Jesse Jackson Jr. (He's currently leading 71-29, against IL-11 ex-Rep. Debbie Halvorson, whose presence in this race never quite seemed to make sense.)
7:16 PM PT (David Jarman): We've also got an AP call in the GOP field in IL-13, for Rep. Tim Johnson. He's at 65% against fractured, little-known opposition.
7:21 PM PT (David Jarman): The Kinzinger lead in IL-16 is up to 60-40. Most of the outstanding vote is in Winnebago County (Manzullo's turf), but Manzullo looks like he's in too deep a hole to climb out of, thanks to his poor performance in the neutral turf that wasn't in old IL-11 or IL-16. (Old IL-11: 79-21 for Kinzinger w/ 68% reporting. Old IL-16: 62-38 for Manzullo w/ 50% reporting. Neutral zone: 65-35 for Kinzinger w/72% reporting.)
7:25 PM PT (David Jarman): Here's one more primary we haven't mentioned yet: the Dem side in IL-17 (to go up against accidental GOP frosh Bobby Schilling). Cheri Bustos wasn't against any major opposition, but she's at 59% with 55% reporting. Freeport mayor George Gaulrapp (who you might remember running and losing badly to Don Manzullo in IL-16 in 2010) is in second with 21%.
7:28 PM PT (Steve Singiser): Meanwhile, further east, a preliminary look at the raft of special legislative elections in New York makes it look like the Democrats and the GOP will be swapping Assembly seats. The Democrats have forged a good early lead in AD-100, where former assemblyman Frank Skartados has a 62-38 lead over Republican John Forman. But that is being offset by a GOP pickup in the Buffalo suburbs (AD-145), where Michael Kearns is leading former Brian Higgins staffer Chris Fahey (57-43), a race that the Associated Press just called for the Republican. That has to give pause to Kathy Hochul: that GOP pickup is on her congressional turf this November. Meanwhile, AP has nothing so far on the high profile state Senate showdown (SD-27) between Democrat Lew Fidler and Republican David Storobin.
7:30 PM PT (David Jarman): Things are closing fast in IL-16 now that Winnebago Co. (Rockford) is reporting; it's back down to 55-45 in favor of Kinzinger. 66% are in overall, but only 26% of Winnebago is in.
7:34 PM PT (Steve Singiser):
7:37 PM PT (Steve Singiser): Clearly, local sources in New York are WAY ahead of the AP. AP is listing just three precincts reporting in SD-27, where they have Fidler up 51-49 on Storobin.
7:38 PM PT (David Jarman): Two more AP calls in Dem primaries (no surprises): one in IL-10, for Brad Schneider (at 47%) and one in IL-08, for Tammy Duckworth (at 66%).
7:41 PM PT: Join us in thread #4.
