This is going to be a short diary, simply because this asshole speaks for himself. I don't think much commentary is needed. In short, Alex Wiles (or, as I'm going to dub him, Bubba) of Kannapolis, North Carolina, found a "Vote Against Amendment One" sign near his house. He decided to take it to his backyard and use his shotgun on it. Because "that's how we deal with it around here."
Just watch.
(Video has been removed by the user. Huh, I wonder why. Look in Update #2 below for a copy of the video.)
As Joe Jervis puts it: "How is NOM going to spin THIS?"
It's probably only a matter of time before NOM convinces this guy to take down the video. But don't worry. Backup copies have been made.
But this is a good example of what we're up against in North Carolina.
I did some Googling, and his Facebook page amuses me. Activities and interests include "Joe Arpaio," "Reaganomics," and "hunting and fishing." You don't say. His likes include "Glenn Beck" and "I AM THE TEA PARTY!" Yes, indeed he is. And apparently he's "inspired" by Robert E. Lee and...Jesus? Heh.
UPDATE: Joe Jervis tells us on JoeMyGod:
I have spoken to the Kannopolis, North Carolina police department and they are looking into what will be classified a crime if the shotgun was fired onto property that includes a home or business.
UPDATE #2: Aaaaaaaand, that didn't take long. Wiles removed the video. Here's a copy:
