This appears to be the only valid explaination of Republican women's attitude with respect to their colleagues "War on Women".
"When I hear his steps outside my door I lie down on my bed, open my legs and think of England."
Attributed to the 1912 journal of Lady Hillingdon [sometimes attributed to Queen Victoria]
Personal sacrifice to the glory of the coming of conservatism? [Oh ick...pass teh brainbleach]
No matter how many glorious T shirts Ann Romney wears [and I would love one of those...sigh], no matter how many women they cram into the photo-op, no matter how many times they try to deny:
The reality speaks for itself.
In the past two years alone, there have been nearly 2,000 anti-choice provisions introduced in legislation. Among other things, Republican lawmakers have attempted to redefine rape, supported a bill that would let hospitals watch a woman die rather than perform a needed abortion and tried to take away all federal funding for Planned Parenthood. South Dakota GOP members even attempted to make it legal to murder doctors who provide abortion care.
Plus 31 Republican Senators voting against the Violence Against Women Act, with not
one Republican woman voting with them. That is in itself telling; perhaps they were all
playing with aspirin at the time?
Then of course we had the Blunt amendment, that caused a retraction
"I have never had a vote I’ve taken where I have felt that I let down more people that believed in me."
~Sen Lisa Murkowski[R-AK]
Who can forget the
Stupak-Pitts Amendment
Rep. Bart Stupak, D-Mich., one of the amendment's co-authors and an abortion rights opponent, has argued that he does not believe the provision will "curb a woman's right to choose."
Stupak not being the only one on
"our" side to get it wrong
"why is there so much focus on votes made over a decade ago?"
Steve Pestka
Because they matter? Perhaps?
Who can forget this classic brought to you by Republicans in the House of Representatives HR 358 The Let Women Die Act
Under this bill, when the Republicans vote for this bill today, they will be voting to say that women can die on the floor of health care providers ... it's just appalling. I can't even describe to you the logic of what they are doing today.
Nancy Pelosi

Yah really, no "war on Women" to see here, move along, look here is Ann.
Did I mention it is my Birthday on Sunday?
Did I mention I really liked Ann's top?
One can but dream.
Sigh.
