Let's face it - some political announcements are loaded with boilerplate language that make you think the organization is just going through the motions.
Occasionally, though, there are endorsements that reflect an organization's true commitment and admiration for a political candidate. That's what the nonpartisan National Women's Political Caucus provided today in endorsing Congresswoman Mazie Hirono for U.S. Senate in Hawai`i. Check out these quotes from NWPC leaders in a press release I received via email today:
“Take a look at Congresswoman Hirono’s personal background and political history. She has worked extremely hard to be where she is, and she won’t stop here” said President Linda Young. “She truly knows the state of Hawaii and the people that live there. What a great advocate she would be in the Senate!”
Congresswoman Hirono is a self-proclaimed product of the “American Dream” and has worked diligently to protect that “dream” for millions of Americans. She is a leader in the education realm as well as in the realm of women’s issues.
“Congresswoman Mazie Hirono makes me proud to be an American. She is a woman that can envision a goal and achieve it -- what more could you want in a Senator?” concluded Vice President for Political Planning Donna Lent.
