A memo from a conservative group was published in the Guardian this week that details an effort to undermine and subvert wind energy as a viable energy alternative.
This memo:
http://www.guardian.co.uk/...
gives step-by-step instructions on how to change the public perception of wind energy.
I had to read the memo several times because I couldn't believe what I was reading.
For years I've believed these conservative "think tanks" were more sinister than what their mission statements advertised.
I'm not really shocked by seeing written proof that such underhanded and vile efforts occur.
I'm shocked that so few people are shocked to find out that there is an entire network of organizations who will undermine and discredit a person, community, corporation and even an idea if the price is right.
This kind of tactic isn't ethical or moral and probably not even legal.
Yet, the majority of comments I've read don't even mention the enormity of what this memo means. Most comments I've read somewhat suggest that given such tactics must mean there IS a problem with wind energy.
I've even read comments that suggest wind energy supporters must be guilty of something if such tactics are necessary to thwart them.
I don't even know what it would take to shock people awake anymore.
This silent approval of such behavior must end.
