Welcome to the Tuesday Coffee Hour here on Street Prophets. This is an open thread where we can hang out and talk about what’s going on in our worlds. I thought we’d start today by looking at water.
According to one Anishinaabe creation story, when water was created it was given spirit, soul, life, Manitou. So water is a living thing. One of the spiritual characteristics of water is humility for it always seeks out the lowest place. When it comes to obstacles, it flows around them, or over them. For many Indian people, water has a special spiritual significance. Shown below are some photographs of flowing water taken in Glacier National Park.
