This is going to be a short diary, as I'm more interested in hearing what y'all think then talking about what I think. Particularly interested in opinions from those on the ground in Wisconsin.
For myself, I'm divided. Part of me thinks it would be great as a final push in enthusiasm and GOTV. The other part of me thinks it would energize the other side as much as ours and end up a wash, or worse.
But I do ask myself, if we had a republican president, would he/she come to Wisconsin to campaign for Walker? Please, this is not an invitation to pie, or to bash Obama, but rather to find out what the common wisdom amongst activists in Wisconsin is----not to exclude opinions from everywhere.
I also ask because it's not too late, and I wonder if Obama will make a last minute show.
Or how about Biden? I know the republicans are bringing in a slew of surrogate support.
Doesn't seem to be being matched by the Democrats, although I was happy to hear that Jesse Jackson will lead a rally and march for voter registration, this Saturday in Milwaukee.
Is this someplace we should be applying pressure? What say y'all?
3:04 PM PT: Update: Poll is tied. No wonder I can't make up my mind. :)
