If you do some research on actual benefits of stem cell experimentation you will come up with quite a number of examples, the most recent being the creation of a vein from stem cells for a little girl whose liver was not receiving the required blood flow due to a bad vein. There are also cases of repairing eyes and rebuilding heart tissue from stem cells, and other wonderful actual treatments. If you look more closely at these stories all of them have one thing in common -- they are not about embyrionic stem cells, but adult stem cells from the patient himself or from an adult donor. Nothing of actual benefit and therapeutic treatment has come from the harvesting of stem cells from living unborn human persons, which of course causes the death of those humans. What's more is that the practice of harvesting is rather sickening. It takes as a premise that the lives of unborn humans are no better than tools for the sake of the born. Why do we debase ourselves so when real treatment and real therapy is found in the tissues of the born?
