!@&%@!&%# I lost the entire diary, so I'm trying to recap.
Anyway, Coach expects to have a week full of college students and administrations to stress her out. Let's wish her good luck and send her good thoughts!
Only one birthday today, and he's a bit past "64" today! Happy Birthday, Sir Paul!
On with the abbreviated version of the show diary!
In the first segment, Rachel showed all the Bat$hit that's going on nationwide, with a feature on that horrendous outhouse at the Montana GOP convention. Frank Rich was in studio to discuss his new piece in New York Magazine about negative advertising. He brings up the vituperative ads against Rachel Jackson, Mrs Andrew Jackson as an example of how negative ads have been with us as long as there as been a USA. Rachel points out that because the Bat$hit is attached to the Republican Party, it's ripe with advertising opportunities. She brings up Glenn Beck and his Glee rant ad a Bat$hit convention this past weekend.
Debbie Wasserman-Schultz was here to discuss the GOP platform of "jobs jobs jobs" by which they mean "abortion abortion abortion". They talked about some of the national push back that's been happening. Not only in Michigan, but in Virginia, the Board of Health has exempted existing abortion clinics from their draconian new regulations. And it's the Nuns on a Bus!
As someone who, like Rachel, has relatives who are Nuns, DO. NOT. MESS. WITH. NUNS. You will LOSE.
Paul Krugman joined Rachel for the Interview. The topic was public sector employment, and they talked about how if public sector employment had stayed normal--as it did with the Bush administration--then unemployment would have been a percent lower. And that's not talking about the ancillary jobs created because of the public workers spending their money.
And finally, in that San Diego judge election, birther Gary Kreep leads Garland Peed by 1400 votes, with about 2000 more votes to be counted. Way to go, America.
