WASHINGTON--The Supreme Court stunned political pundits today by ruling that the entirety of Massachuesetts Gov. Mitt Romney's health care plan, including its controversial individual mandate to purchase health insurance, is constitutional.
Court watchers and commentators were shocked at the ruling. "But, but, it's socialism!" shouted SNARX News' Han Seannity. "I'm sure I predicted this," gloated Matt Christhews, host of MSMYOB's Shoutball program.
The group most flummoxed by the Court's decision was the Tea Party, who had scheduled a celebratory rally on the Court's steps. "What a mess," said Arm Dickey, head of the Tea Party group WhiningWorks. "We've already paid for the catering and the 'Freedom to Die' signs. Now we've got to mobilize our volunteers to Sharpie Hitler mustaches on pictures of the Chief Justice."
Update: So far, funniest comment found on FB (from my local TV station's post):
"Get rid of obama and the supreme court they are obama puppets the end is very near"
Madam, if you mean "the end of critical thought," I believe you're late.
