First, many wealthy people realized McCain's economic policies which were the same as Bush were hurting them. Some still realize that the same supply side policies whether pushed by RMoney or mccaint or bush will hurt them because it harms the whole US economy. Others forgot that lesson already .
Two - the one percent do not create jobs . Well maybe in Switzerland . Demand creates jobs. Poor people spend a higher percentage of money they get than the wealthy .
Three rich people have a disproportionate effect upon elections.
Four, therefore, the tax code is written to benefit them.
Five, they received more than 90 percent of the economic benefits of economic growth.
400 families hold half the wealth of this country.
Six, a wide base is needed to support sustainable economic growth .
Seventh, tax cuts for the wealthy added $400 Billion to our debt.
Eighth - the wealthy benefit more than the rest of us from the shared roads, police , schools, common defense... They are better able to contribute . So, they should.
Ninth, we are not at all surprised that the rich like holding all of the cards and manipulating and creating rules that benefit them at the expense of the rest of us. We understand it all right. But it is not right and we are not going to accept the unfair status quo just to make them happy.
Tenth, this poor person probably has more formal education than the one percenter who said we are less educated . More people with advanced degrees vote Dem than vote Repub.
