The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee filed a complaint with the Federal Election Commission alleging that conservative independent outfits 60 Plus Association, American Crossroads, and Americans for Prosperity have violated federal election law by primarily working to influence federal elections while not disclosing their donors.
I am not a lawyer; however, I would have to say that on the face of things the FEC should be able to rule in the DSCC's favor by close of business today, with time for a long lunch thrown in.
Hopefully this gives Karl Rove and les freres Koch a sad. Even the threat that the donors might be disclosed after the election may slow the flow of funds. People trying to corrupt democracy usually don't like to be observed doing so.
