Dear surveillance,
I know you’re out there. You work for government agencies, defense contractors and unnamed private entities who read every word, looking for people who threaten your wealth, power and control.
I know you’re out there and I don’t care.
You hide in the shadows because you worship at the altar of hate, fear and death. For you, the world is a threat. Life is a threat.
You want compliance from us and wealth. You do not know how to give wealth or life, but only how to take them. It is what you live for and it is the only way you know how to prosper.
You fear people. You farm people. You sow fear and reap misery. You are the few, manipulating the many and you fear us because you know that in the light of day, if the truth of your deeds were to be known, you would lose everything.
I know you are out there and I do not care, because I know what you do not know:
Even if you win, you lose.
We all need each other to create a sustainable species and existence.
You neither know the future nor can you build for it. The only future you know is violence and fear. Your accomplishments are war, torture, poverty, disease and misery. That’s it. You have nothing else.
I know you are out there and I do not care, because I am alive and this life I give toward the best of what humankind can offer to the benefit of us all.
I know you are out there and I openly oppose you. I will take my chances that the best of humanity is not measured in death but in life.
What drives you is fear, and I know that fear too. We all do. But, you have a choice in how you deal with your fear, just as I do - as we all do. We can use our fear to create fear in others or we can face it - sometimes alone and sometimes with others. But, you are making a choice - whether you admit it or not.
This is your choice. It is everyone’s choice.
I know you are out there. It is your days that are numbered, not ours.
