I do not know if this is all media outlets, but a very shameful thing about W. Mitt's speech to the NAACP today is being shared.
We all know how the media likes to pull out little soundbytes and little excerpts of speeches. Well, they're at it now.
They are turning one of the most condescending, patronizing, I-know-what's-best quotes from that speech:
I believe that if you understood who I truly am in my heart, and if it were possible to fully communicate what I believe is in the real, enduring best interest of African American families, you would vote for me for president.
into THIS:
I believe that if you understood who I truly am in my heart...you would vote for me for president.
Words fail right now. Because you KNOW you will never ever hear the full quote ever again on TV. Or see it in a newspaper.
