...because the current one really doesn't like him very much, according to Zimmerman's attorney.
Via Raw Story.
“The court has created a reasonable fear in Mr Zimmerman that this court is biased against him and because of this prejudice, he cannot receive a fair and impartial trial or hearing by this court,” Zimmerman’s attorney Mark O’Mara wrote in his motion to disqualify the judge.
“The court makes gratuitous, disparaging remarks about Mr Zimmerman’s character; advocates for Mr Zimmerman to be prosecuted for additional crimes; offers a personal opinion about the evidence for said prosecution and continues to hold over Mr Zimmerman’s head the threat of future contempt proceedings.”
Maybe it's just me, but when a defendant "sits in the court like a stump" while his wife falsely testifies to their financial
destitution in order to get a low bail amount,
when in reality they had over $100,000 parked in a Paypal Account, then conspires with her on jail telephones to shift their money around so that they'll stay below the $10,000 threshold of detection - ultimately forcing the
increase of his bond to $1 Million - the Judge that he and his wife did this to just might not like him very much, and might think he deserve to get
prosecuted for perjury and conspiracy. Ya think? I Do.
I think the judge has realized something that Zimmerman's previous attorney came to discover when they decided they needed a new client - George is Kind of a Dick!
Mr. O'Mara is clearly a strong advocate for his client, but I think also that he should - for his own sake - keep these previous events in mind.
Two attorneys representing George Zimmerman, the man who fatally shot unarmed teen Trayvon Martin, today announced their resignation from the case. Lawyers Craig Sonner and Hal Uhrig said he's essentially gone rogue.
"As of the last couple days he has not returned phone calls, text messages or emails," Sonner said at a press conference. (The same guy who infamously bailed on our show just minutes before air.) "<>He's gone on his own. I'm not sure what he's doing or who he's talking to. I cannot go forward speaking to the public about George Zimmerman and this case as representing him because I've lost contact with him."
We're talking about a guy who attacked a undercover cop and was forced to attend anger management, who bullied and brutalized his ex-girlfriend then lied about it to blame her for it, who got fired from his bouncer job for "losing it" and
slamming a woman against a wall and engaged in a torrent of racial hazing of a coworker to vicious and prolonged that person actually began to have
violent fantasies of retaliation.
Like I said, he's kinda of a Dick. And in the meanwhile he shot and killed an unarmed teenager, then tried to worm his way out of it with a fantastical story about Trayvon attacking him
Speaking of the Shooting of Trayvon Martin, there now appears to have been an eye witness. One who had appeared some time ago on Anderson Cooper's show.
I don't know if was an echo but it definitely made more than one pop ... After the larger man got off there was a boy, obviously now dead, on the ground facing down...
It was dark. I can't say I watched him get up, but in a couple of seconds or so he was walking towards where I was watching and I could see him a little bit clearer. It was a Hispanic man. He didn't appear hurt or anything else. He just kind of seemed very worried with his hand up to his forehead.
Yeah, I'd be a bit worried too if I'd just shot an unarmed kid in the chest for
no good reason. But as I said before, maybe that's just me.
