This may not be worthy of a diary. I'll know soon enough.
In the 1980 presidential debates, Ronald Reagan managed to define Jimmy Carter with a single scripted line, which was created to cover for the fact that Reagan didn't know much about much, and that Jimmy Carter, PhD, went on about really complicated stuff that Reagan couldn't follow.
"There you go again." It cut off the debate at the knees.
The Obama team has rewritten that line, and in the process has created a bumper-sticker line that even the densest voter can understand.
"Stop whining."
Brilliant. Two words, that can now be applied to anything Mitt Romney says.
"Stop whining." It defines the opponent as weak, and makes Obama the alpha dog.
This will enter the lexicon along with "Make my day."
That is all. Now stop whining and go to work.
