Sure, we have been given aspects of Romney's life to consider: vulture capitalist, political opportunist, reed in the wind moralist, and perfect hair guy. I think we may be missing his true genius, which I will argue is improv comedian below the fold -
The first rule is improv is never say no, say "yes and."
Is Romney anti-choice? Yes, and also pro-choice.
Did Romney leave Bain in 1999? Yes, and he was CEO, showed up at board meetings, signed SEC documents for Bain, and drew a salary.
Is Romney Patriotic? Yes, he's pro-America, pro-China, pro-the Bahamas, and supports many other countries with his hard earned, untaxed millions.
Another rule is to avoid questions. He gets a top grade on that rule.
His recent interviews demonstrated how rigidly he follows this maxim.
Always be ready to change, if Romney is the master of anything it is the ever changing narrative.
Is Romney conservative? Yes, and moderate and liberal.
Of course another rule of improv is that you don't try be funny in order to be funny, that rule he appears to still be working on.
